Benjamin Sachs, MB, BS, DPH, FACOG Dr. Sachs is the chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. In addition, he is the Harold H. Rosenfield Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Biology at Harvard Medical School, where he also serves as chair of the Executive Committee of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He has special interests in medical education, physician management, patient safety, and the challenge of providing high-quality healthcare for all women. |

Susan Mann, MD Dr. Mann is the director of quality improvement in the Obstetrics and Gynecology department at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and a clinical assistant professor in Obstetrics, and Gynecology and Reproductive Biology at Harvard Medical School. She was a lead physician in the randomized trial of military and civilian hospitals that led to the development of the Team Performance Plus methodology. As a member of the Massachusetts section of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Mann serves on the Executive Committee and as a Quality Assurance Representative. |

Stephen Pratt, MD Dr. Pratt is director of quality improvement for the Department of Anesthesia and Critical Care, and clinical director of Obstetric Anesthesia at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. He is one of the authors of the curricula for teaching team training on Labor and Delivery, and was instrumental in developing clinically relevant outcomes for assessing and quality of obstetric care. Dr. Pratt has been invited to speak nationally and internationally on the topics of patient safety and team training in obstetrics. |

Mary L. Salisbury, RN, MSN Ms. Salisbury has worked as a patient safety healthcare provider, performance coach, and consultant in various settings for nearly 40 years. Her clinical areas of expertise are operating room, critical care, and emergency medicine. She was involved in the original research on the effectiveness of teamwork training, and continues to be actively involved in research on training and sustaining behaviors over time. Ms. Salisbury has authored numerous papers and presentations on the effectiveness of team training. |

Penny Greenberg, RN, BSN Ms. Greenberg is currently the director of Health Care Quality and Patient Safety at Beth Israel Deaconess–Needham. Prior to that, she was the OB/GYN quality improvement specialist at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and served as project manager and a master trainer for the study that led to the development of the Team Performance Plus methodology. Ms. Greenberg is also a reviewer for the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology’s Voluntary Review of Quality of Care; in this role, she performs onsite evaluations of OB/GYN departments across the country. |

Ronald Marcus, MD Dr. Marcus is the administrative director of Labor and Delivery, and director of Outpatient Services at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. He also serves as assistant professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Biology at Harvard Medical School. He is an elected Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetrians and Gynaecologists. He has 27 years experience as a practicing obstetrician, was named a Boston Magazine “Best of Boston” physician in 1992 and 2006, and is a two-time winner of the Harvard Medical School Resident Teaching Award (1997 and 2002). |
